I just wanted to give Transcend some kudos on the packaging of this card. The card I got was in a paperboard holder with a plastic see-through middle. You simply pull gently on the card and it tears wide open across a perforated seam. The plastic center was held sandwiched between the layers of paperboard. The inner plastic was held together with a slight snap and popped right open.

The card was well packed, nicely displayed, used a minimum of materials and was not only easy to open, but easy to recycle, as the plastic and paper were in no way attached.

For this review, I'm not going to get into all the technical aspects of the movie or the other things that made this movie memorable. All I'm going to talk about it the lack of action in this movie (and series in general). I felt like this was an episode of the West Wing where the President (in this case Tony Stark) is getting pulled, manipulated and exploited and in the end it comes down to he and his real friends to get him out of the dilemma. I understand that the budget for Iron Man 2 was greatly increased from the first movie, but where was that money spent? Other than the Stark Convention floor, I didn't see anything in this installment that was any grander than the first. I feel like there's nothing but juxtaposition and exposition. No huge action scenes at all. For every hour of action, there is literally one minute of action. The action finale is a jumbled mess of angles and shots that leave a lot to be desired. I can only equate the finale between Stark and Whiplash to that of a charcoal grill that gets left unattended before the meat goes on. Sure, you can put more gas on the fire to get it hot again, but its going to be a few moments of flash and then back to being orange coals. I love the dialogue in the Iron Man movies, and I believe that it is the dialogue that sets these movies apart from the rest of the comic book films that have come out to date, but the third movie HAS to up the ante or it will become a one trick pony.

Also, I had a huge issue of the writers forgoing using the "Demon in a bottle" storyline for this movie, instead they use the arc reactor in his chest to "poison" him. Iron Man had a few stand out story lines since its creation and none were more human that demon in a bottle. They really dropped the ball on that part too.

All in all, I'll still buy the blu ray on release date. I'll still praise this movie and recommend it to friends. When it comes to films with religious trappings, one of two things usually happens: It either bashes all other religions in favor of the one being espoused, or gets a little too preachy and fawns all over itself. Book of Eli does neither of those things; instead letting the viewer decide the importance/meaning of the religious undertones.

For a basic plot summary, Book of Eli focuses on a lone traveler (Denzel Washington) trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic America. When one day he wanders into a rebuilding community, he is harassed by a man (Gary Oldman) who desires a powerful book that the traveler has in his possession.

The plot of this film is okay, though at times predictable and/or slow. However, there are three areas in which the film really excels:

-Acting: Denzel and Oldman both give strong, professional performances, while Mila Kunis proves more than just a pretty face as well.

-Imagery: The depiction of a completely desolate, war-torn nation is very powerful and interesting. You never know what sort of crazy character you might meet next.

-Religious Themes: The concept of religion is central to the entire film, but is shown as a potential force for good or evil.

Lowest Price Christmas Carol - The Movie

This animated version has some really pretty backgrounds, but Dickens purists might be disappointed in the additions and deletions to the original classic. My personal favorites are George C. Scott's TV version and the marvelous Mr. Magoo's version. I don't know why the two mice were added, even if they're cute. Nicolas Cage's Marley is weak and Simon Callow's Scrooge isn't very effective. Kate Winslet surprised with a lovely singing voice on WHAT IF.
